The New Troy South Middle School provides a completely new campus for grades sixth through eighth including master planning for future enrollment expansion. The new school accommodates general classrooms, specialized curriculum rooms for science, computer lab, industrial tech, Project Lead the Way (PLTW), art, family and consumer science (FACS), special education and music including both band and choral classrooms and media center/library. Activity spaces including full gymnasium, locker rooms, fitness room and coaches’ offices are provided. A complete administration suite as well as nurse, sickroom, counseling suite, faculty offices and work areas are incorporated within the completed facility. The music wing portion of the building is constructed as a safe room/storm shelter (meeting ICC 500 and FEMA requirements).
