Centralia Intermediate School

The new Centralia Intermediate School is designed to accommodate grades three through fifth thereby facilitating grade reorganization, enrollment growth and smaller class sizes within the elementary grades. The design includes 14 standard classrooms, individual art, science and music classrooms, special education, and gifted classrooms. Shared resource areas support standard classrooms. A media center/library with a stacks, reading area, PC stations, and group table seating are provided. Multipurpose/cafeteria space includes a raised performance platform and storage. A full complement of support spaces are provided, including a book room, administration suite, nurse’s office/sickroom, faculty workroom/lounge, full- service food preparation, and serving and storage spaces. A separate main entry to the Multi-purpose, concession and restroom spaces allows for after-hours community use while preventing access to the balance of the school building. Site improvements include parking and bus and auto drop off lanes.
